Scientific Project Manager
Salary range:
$78000-$102,000
Full-time, exempt
The Scientific Project Manager coordinates internal and external teams to ensure timely completion of company projects. This role requires a strong foundation in biological sciences and the ability to understand and communicate complex scientific concepts. We are seeking an individual with scientific expertise, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a passion for advancing oncology drug development. Experience managing or coordinating projects is essential; formal project management certification is not required.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing project plans, schedules, and progress reports
- Tracking deliverables
- Developing and maintaining organized, accessible documentation for each project
- Coordinating team activities through clear, timely communication
- Managing project risk (eg. timeline, financial, etc.)
- Resolving issues arising within each project
- Liaising with project team members and functional managers to ensure timely project completion
- Additional activities as required
Education and Experience Requirements
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. and/or equivalent highly desirable) and 2+ years of related work experience, Masters degree and 5+ years of related work experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of related work experience
- Training and/or experience in biological sciences (molecular biology, cell biology, oncology, virology, immunology or similar)
- Demonstratable experience managing projects
- Experience using project management software is a plus

- Superior communication skills (verbal, written, listening) cross functionally throughout the organization; communicates complex ideas across project boundaries, gaining alignment and persuading others to take action or adopt a different point of view
- Strong analytic and critical thinking skills are essential in this role, with demonstrated ability to analyze and comprehend complex programs and situations.
- Ability to exercise good judgment while under pressure and tight deadlines, along with strong coping skills are required. Must be flexible in adapting to a variety of responsibilities, work assignments, and priorities
- Detail-oriented and works independently and productively with minimal direction, routinely exercising initiative and sound judgment
- Able to manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring alignment with department/corporate goals
