Human Resources Manager
Salary range:
$78,000 - 102,000
Full-time, Exempt
The Human Resources Manager position manages and oversees the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. This role owns the design, oversight, and continuous improvement of HR programs, including talent acquisition and onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while supporting the overall strategic objectives of the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides day-to-day direction, guidance, and oversight to HR staff, including the Human Resources Generalist, as applicable.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Owns and oversees the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Supports relocation efforts, new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Designs, implements, and maintains the company’s performance management framework, including annual review processes, to ensure consistency, alignment with business objectives, and leadership accountability.
- Oversees the administration and execution of human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, and training and development.
- Serves as the escalation point for complex or sensitive employee relations issues and provides guidance to HR staff and leadership on appropriate resolution.
- Analyzes compensation and benefits trends and develops recommendations for base and incentive pay programs, partnering with executive leadership and Finance as appropriate.
- Assists with learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes (including federal, state and local employment laws and regulations), and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- At least 5 years of progressive human resources experience, including responsibility for employee relations, compliance, and HR program ownership.
- SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
