Facilities Tech

As a Facilities Tech, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities, including utilities, waste removal, and manufacturing safety. You will aid in the day-to-day servicing of various systems critical to our operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and environmental health requirements. This role requires a hands-on approach, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utilities systems, including RO water, vacuum, clean gases, backup generator, and HVAC, to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
- Coordinate with pest control activities to prevent and address infestations, maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment.
- Manage waste removal processes in compliance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring proper disposal and documentation.
- Help enforce manufacturing safety protocols to mitigate risks and promote a safe work environment for all employees.
- Maintain comprehensive SOPs for facilities operations, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and systems to minimize downtime and extend lifespan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Environmental Health & Safety, to address facilities-related issues and support business objectives.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess facility conditions, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to facilities operations, including cGMP, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Strong understanding of utilities systems, including RO water, HVAC, and backup power generation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety practices and protocols.
Required Skills and/or Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities management software.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in facilities or related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Walking and standing for at least half the day.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
